While producing, do you have a preffered db spl? If you do, is it all the time working or only while mixing?
i've learned that in 85 db spl all the frequencies are balanced the human ear. opinion?
No two human ears are calibrated the same - even two attached to the same head - and there is no volume which fits every person or situation. It makes more sense to me to work at a volume which stirs my soul but doesn't fatigue my ears.
I tend to work quietly most of the time. I'll have one loud listen through every hour and then a ten minute break.
No idea about dB SPL. Never thought to measure it.
What healthy measures do you take at work? To avoid things like RSI, thrombosis, back problems, ear damage and all that.. do you use something like workrave to schedule breaks? Do you limit the speakers?
This is awesome by the way!! I have learned a lot =)) Thanks!
Where did you pull your world music inspiration from? I love the mix of hindu music!!Ott responded on 05/31/2013
