While producing, do you have a preffered db spl? If you do, is it all the time working or only while mixing?
i've learned that in 85 db spl all the frequencies are balanced the human ear. opinion?

No two human ears are calibrated the same - even two attached to the same head - and there is no volume which fits every person or situation. It makes more sense to me to work at a volume which stirs my soul but doesn't fatigue my ears.

I tend to work quietly most of the time. I'll have one loud listen through every hour and then a ten minute break.

No idea about dB SPL. Never thought to measure it.
