Hello Ott and thanks for everything you do.

I am thinking of purchasing a matched pair of Yamaha NS-10M Studio speakers, as a secondary reference monitoring speakers, and pondering what amplifier to get. I notice from a previous question you list the Yamaha PS3500 amp in conjunction with your Yamaha MS-40 speakers. So I have a couple of quick questions, around the Yamaha PS3500 amp.

1) What's you thought on using the PS3500 to drive a set of Yamaha NS-10M Studio for occasionally monitoring?

2) I’ve searched high and low on the internet to find out more about the Yamaha PS3500 amp and really drawn a blank. There’s a lot of stuff out there on the old Yamaha P3500, and there’s lot about the new Yamaha P3500S, but I can’t find anything about the Yamaha model designation PS3500. Anything you can do to clarify this would be extremely appreciated.

I wish I knew all the stuff you've learnt and forgotten about studio technique. Ouch!

The Yamaha PS3500 was absolutely awful and it is now in a box in my attic. It would be adequate for a small pub PA or driving headphones in a studio but as a monitor amp it was truly appalling.

I eventually bit the bullet and dropped a few thousand on a Bryston 4B SST and I haven't regretted it for a moment.

I will be buried with it. Or, possibly, in it.
