Hey man, Great music! Been a fan of 'Are you Spongled', and Hallucinogen in Dub, but discovered Sylon and the others of yours more recently. Struggling to source CDs though, are these still available/ be available soon? Also noted your track Cley Hill - was back that way at the weekend, and wondered where you were from?
"Are You Shpongled" was nothing to do with me really - I just helped glue it together a bit.
"Hallucinogen in Dub" was me though and I was living near Westbury when I did it.
There are loads of Somerset place names hidden in my stuff - Nunney Catch, Pilton, Cley Hill and Somersettler to name a few. I moved there after 10 years in London and fell in love with the place.
It used to feel like the darkest west country but from where I am now it feels like 'up north'.
CDs are available here and they're all in stock.
I am a student of music at the berklee college, studying electronic music production and audio engineering. In all my efforts of trying to compose electronic music, using a combination of soft/hardware synths, there seems to be some confusion in regards to mixing what i produce. May i ask you about some of the areas you look into while doing so. I use the usual eq'ing, stereo vs mono, compression, balance and panning. I wonder if there is something unique you do or do i just need to continue working on these areas to get it to sound better. Any recommendations in this matter would be hugely helpful.
Thank You for your music,
This might have been asked before, but anyway... Have you ever tried Electro-Harmonix products? If so, what are your thoughts on them?Ott responded on 08/13/2014
