So a little while ago you were with Twisted Records along side Hallucinogen, Yonger Brother, Shpongle and all the others. Was there a reason you started putting out records on your own lable or was it just for a new change?
Thanks again Ott.
During the ten years I was with Twisted the technology to release and promote your own records evolved to a point where self-releasing was viable. It seemed the obvious next step and I'm glad I did it.
It's fun feeling fully responsible for everything, from creating the music to commissioning the artwork, ordering CDs from the pressing plant, mailing out orders, etc etc. It feels like a proper cottage industry and enables us to feel completely in touch with the people who buy our stuff.
Zoe, my wife, takes care of all the accounts and the CDs, t-shirts, posters, etc. She's also responsible for commissioning the fantastic artwork from Chris Dyer and Carlo Cortes, and she's currently immersed in preparing to design and manufacture 'The Book Of Awesome'.
So you can take pleasure in knowing that everything you buy from us was personally prepared and mailed out by The Queen Of All Everything herself.
ott, i fell utterly hopeless listening to your music. do you have any comments or advice for aspiring muscians who want to create something as beautiful as your music? (other than persist, persue, yada yada)Ott responded on 02/07/2015 Next question
I was curious about how you integrate the kaoss pads into your live rig. Like, do you have one dedicated audio track running into it, or do you have the ability somehow to selectively assign which track in ableton you have running into it?
