What is your favorite thing about being a father? (And I am sure you are a great father.)
I get to reinforce Daisy's self-esteem and confidence every day, and teach her to think independently. I get to say stuff like:
"Just because a man on TV in a suit tells you something, doesn't mean it's true."
"Adults are not always right."
"You can be an astronaut if you put the hours in."
"Life isn't all about buying stuff and gaining status."
Got absorbed into Blumenkraft again yesterday, and was really noticing the beauty of your percussion lines. What processes are you putting on them to make them so captivating? For example i love it when it sometimes sounds like squeaky trainers in a squash court. I would assume that was some sort of reverb, but i read somewhere below that you don't like reverbs, so i assume that cant be it. and sometimes they just melt and zing around. Can you give me some tips on your percussion mixing techniques?
your works with shpongle, bluetech and entheogenic are so beautiful. This just makes me wonder, did/would you ever consider working with "shulman"?
And are you familiar with works of "Omar Faruk Tekbilek", if so how would you describe his music with your words?
