What's your "go-to" synth? I've seen your studio and I know you have a ton, but I know I have my favorites. You just keep on rockin. You bring many of us Earthlings joy.
The nearest I have to a workhorse is a Korg MonoPoly which has been modified by Alan Dicker at http://www.audio-presto.co.uk/
I use it for bass, lead sounds, chords, pads [it does very retro four voice chords] and percussion.
An amazing and underrated synth.
Hi Ott, thanks for advancing my sonic knowledge at light speed. I was wondering, what kind of effects and EQ do you apply to your high hats? You said that you do use a bit of reverb on the percussion. Do you use reverb on the high hats?Ott responded on 07/11/2015 Next question
I have a dozen questions. I sat at your table in the Chicago airport restaurant a few days ago and I mentioned having done a piece with my daughter's sonogram recordings and Zoom H-4 recordings of the busy feet in the hospital halls titled Hearts and Soles-remember? My wife and I were checking out your work-oh fuck, you are good. I wish I had not assumed we were peers. I would have asked more and talked less. paul michael meredith (pmm) I'll ask questions later and hope you find time to answer, in the meantime I'm turning it up.Ott responded on 07/11/2015
