You recently released an album, "Fairchildren". As much as I love your older material, that's all I heard you drop in Austin, TX Wednesday night. I guess my question is this: what was your mindset coming into the Parish that night? You appeared very distant, like your attention was on something else entirely (maybe personal, issues with the venue staff, management, etc.). I had a great time seeing you for the third time now; but I noticed that (maybe it's in my head) and was hoping you could shed some light. Much love, I'll see you at Red Rocks in May!
You imagined that. I was fully present and enjoying myself a great deal. What were you expecting, whooping, shouting and punching the air? I don't really do that.
I was having a few minor issues with my in-ear monitors [they're in need of a service] but I enjoyed The Parish as much as I always have.
As this is an album release tour, it makes sense that I play songs from the new album, don't you think?
I also played Rogue Bagel, Baby Robot, Mr Balloon Hands, and Squirrel and Biscuits that night, and on other dates I've been playing The Queen Of All Everything, Signals From Bob, Aubergine Of The Sun.
It's nice to be able to give some of the older songs a rest and there is only so much you can fit into a set.
Just saying you killed the Detroit show to bad it ended early. Hope you enjoyed the clearly concentratedOtt responded on 10/11/2015 Next question
Ott. I love you so much.
Here's my question for you: does it matter what other people think? Or should you just go for it?
