Do you craft your albums all in one project/session? How does your CPU hold up? Furthermore, about how many individual tracks do you usually end up in a single tune?
Each song is recorded as a single project and then I glue all the stereo mixes together at the end.
By the time I come to mixdown, each song will consist of around 20 - 25 tracks, all of them audio.
I bounce each sound to audio as soon as I feel it is working like I want it to. This speeds up the decision-making process and saves placing unnecessary load on the computer. My computer is pretty modest [3.1gHz i7] and my CPU meter rarely goes above 50%.
Would you like to come to Montana and play on a large double decker boat, known as BassBoat, on Flathead lake?Ott responded on 06/13/2016 Next question
Hi there! Long time listener, I'd like to say thanks for all the music you've made, it's among the best I've heard, if not the best. Tons of great times and feelings due to your music.
Of all your songs, Jack's Cheese and Bread Snack is my all time favorite. I'm dying to know what the background to creating this song was. It feels like there's just too much of a story inside the song to have just made it willy-nilly.
