What do you use de-essing for?
A
De-essing.
Sorry.
I use it to remove harshness for anything that needs it. I don't think of it as de-essing, more as frequency dependent compression.
I often de-ess my bass. [True].
Hey there Uncle Ott!~
I just wanted to say that after accumulating both your Fairchildren and Mir vinyls, I've finally equipped myself with a turntable and stylus worthy of the virgin run on these records, and I am blown away.
There is nothing that I've experienced sonically quite like hearing these records that I hold so near and dear to my heart being played by nothing but a spinning mechanism and an amplifier, with no digital technology in the mix whatsoever. It was a total revelation, one that I never expected, and it's brought your work to a whole different level than what my beloved Winamp could ever achieve.
As always, thank you so much for all of your work, thank you for being an inspiration to so many of us, and yeah thanks for providing the soundtrack for a handful of the most blissful and fulfilling experiences of my life. :D
Good Day Sir,
Hoping you would share your intro vocal effect chain on Baby Robot... which to me is a sonic masterpiece. Do you use two delays set to different timings, reverb and so on. Thank You!
