When you make music, how do you chose a key to work with? And how to you build up your tunes? Do you make everything from the start and work out from the intro, or do you just pile tracks up on eachot

I don't choose a key - I usually discover what key I'm in halfway into the track.

I always start by layering up stuff in a 32 or 64 bar loop until I think I have everything I need and then I either start laying it out on the timeline to build an arrangement or I perform a live dub mix on my analogue mixer and edit the final arrangement out of that.

It should be pretty easy to work out which songs are mixed live and which songs are arranged.
