Owl Stretching Time seems to explore the darker and more demented side of the sound spectrum. What was going through your head as you were making it?
We live out in the country and there are owls living in the trees near our house. I hear them when I'm out late walking the dog. I recorded them and used the sample in the breakdown where the bassline goes all creepy, just before the MS20 sequence kicks in.
Our daughter was having trouble going to sleep at night so we asked her what was bothering her.
"I'm scared." She said.
"What of?" We asked.
"Owls." She replied in a small voice.
So I recorded the owls and put them in that song. She's not scared of owls anymore.
It's giants now.
besides using lots of butter, do you have any specific methods to fatten up individual tracks in a song ?Ott responded on 02/06/2012 Next question
I just discovered 'Indigo' by Hoopy Frood. It is a fun and happy album and I noticed your influences. IF i am correct. How much of 'you' did you put into the album and why did you decide to mix it?Ott responded on 02/08/2012
