When creating your wonderful magic, did you ever think "There's no point, this is just me mucking around; it won't add up to much; no one will be interested"?

And if so, what saw you through?

In 2000 I had exactly that thought. I decided I'd had enough of music and I planned to sell all my studio gear, buy a Porsche and get a proper job.

With that in mind I set about recording a series of tracks purely for my own pleasure, with the intention of never playing them to anyone.

The process of making music purely for pleasure with absolutely no commercial considerations was very enjoyable and I started to reconsider selling my gear.

Those tracks eventually became an album called 'Blumenkraft'.
