Speaking of visualizing sound, how about tasting it. Being a chef/musician I think of a track in flavors & textures. Bass= fats, treble=acidic, spices=flavor,
Yes, I find many relevant parallels between cooking and mixing records. Both disciplines are about combining different ingredients in varying proportions and different ways to create a cohesive and palatable whole.
I am a terrible cook though - I tend to over flavour things and over-rely on a few proven ingredients to get me through. Don't know what that says about my mixing.
Hi, when you mix through your mixer, how do you route the audio from the channels in your software to the mixer? Keep up the great tunes!Ott responded on 02/29/2012 Next question
How, if at all, has your work flow changed from Hallucinogen in Dub to Mir? What are some things you wish you'd known back then that you know today?Ott responded on 02/29/2012
