Please get some vinyls pressed. I wanna still have a physical copy of Mir when i'm 80
The problem with vinyl is that you can only get it manufactured in multiples of 1000 - and I don't want 963 double-albums gathering dust in my shed for all of eternity.
Demand for vinyl is much lower than the enthusiasts would believe and I hate the idea of generating half a ton of plastic landfill.
For what I'd have to charge for a vinyl copy just to break even you could almost press up your own dub plate from a lossless FLAC file - if you really can't live without static, scratches and wow and flutter.
If I were to buy you a drink the next time I see you play (here in Vancouver), what would you most appreciate...or do you generally get free drinks from the promoter/venue when you play?Ott responded on 03/20/2012 Next question
Sir; I love your sonic creation! Why are you so sinfully obscure in the US? How can a (43 year old) beginner best approach learning and creating electronic music? Thank You!Ott responded on 03/20/2012
