while on tour, what souvenirs (apart from hangovers and memories) return home with you ?
I don't drink so I never have hangovers.
But one of my rituals now is to unpack my suitcase when I get home and gather up all the crystals, CDs, pieces of jewellery and art work I have been given and file them away for when my studio is built and I'm looking for things to adorn it with.
In St Louis the other night a guy gave me a lovely piece of twisted wire artwork he made while I was playing. I have been given a silver dollar, many drawings and paintings, stones, flowers and everything else you could possibly imagine.
I will build a shrine in my studio from all these things when it is done.
You were amazing in Denver! Dunno if you keep set lists, but the track you played after squirrel & biscuits was transcendent and gorgeous, and I didn't recognize it from previous albums. What was it?Ott responded on 03/20/2012 Next question
Are you into Zen Buddhism? To what extent is it a practice of yours? I've Been a listener of Alan Watts since i was 14 and am inspired musically by your incorporation of the practices into your music.Ott responded on 03/21/2012
