Im considering moving my studio space to an old shop/shed behind behind the house. How did this work out for you? Pros/cons? Any advice on how to go about it, and things to watch out for?
It really depends on how much sound isolation you need - how close are the neighbours, how much noise you want to make, how much noise can potentially leak in.
Acoustic treatment is very cheap and easy to do but isolation [what people tend to call 'soundproofing' which is a misleading term] costs money and requires planning.
I don't know how well mine has worked yet because I don't have the doors sealed. I'll let you know.
I would advise you to get to know this site very well:
And once you have worked out your budget - double it for the actual figure it will end up costing you.
The offbeat 'reggae stabs' in your music, are they generally made from guitar samples or can it be done with synths?Ott responded on 03/28/2012 Next question
Ott, will you ever be taking any official promo pictures or are we going to see the red sunburst pic on all of your profiles for the rest of time?Ott responded on 03/28/2012
