Hope it's not too personal...but what made you decide to 'come out of your cave' the past couple years and start socializing (facebook, fanbridge, etc). You used to be just a name on an album cover...
My US booking agent Chris Richards at Autonomous Music set up the Facebook and Fanbridge accounts on my behalf and initially it was somebody at his office who updated them on my behalf, mainly with tour dates and stuff.
I realised pretty quickly that they both offered a fantastic opportunity to get to know the people who were listening to my stuff and so I started posting.
I enjoy answering Fanbridge questions - I never know what is coming next and they cause me to observe myself from a fresh perspective.
Facebook is cool as a two-way conversation with the added bonus of allowing me to post YouTube links and sarcastic pictures of the pope.
