Do the Adam A7x monitors sound better in the new studio? Do they have your trust back after the Mir indident? Also do you think fiddling aroud w/the freq. adjustment panel is proper or better to Trap?
Yes they do but I still wouldn't trade them for my NS10s.
They sound massive and deep and big and wide and they make everything sound beautiful. Great for cranking up and recording stuff with but probably not much use for mixing on.
I have fiddled with the EQ and driver gains but end up returning them to flat in the end. EQ will never compensate for a badly tuned room and in most cases will make the problem worse.
My new control room sounds amazingly neutral and I can't wait to mix something in it.
Mix sounded clear to me. It had a music box, was more jazzy than dubby...like music from a children's storybook. Perhaps a 'fairytale jazz-dub' track is due? Btw, ever played around with a buchla?Ott responded on 06/22/2012 Next question
Would you say that music is a natural talent/skill for you? Or is it a thing you've had to "work hard at" to develop and enjoy? Was getting into it a mental struggle? or fairly straightforward?Ott responded on 06/22/2012
