This closely mic'ed felted piano i recorded... can't seem to EQ it properly. Either too boomy and undetailed, or it's detailed but 'tin canned'. Have any hunches/ideas/tips to approach this problem?
In my experience close mics don't work too well on pianos.
As always, the rule is 'garbage in, garbage out'.
Or, alternatively, you can't polish a turd.
The only answer is to re-record.
I was amazed with how good "queen of all everything" vocals worked out live! How can i manipulate voice like a synthesizer using software? It seems that you use some sort of white noise also.. vocoder?Ott responded on 11/07/2012 Next question
How do you find Genelec monitors? And how about DynAudio? What would you say about AKG headphones?Ott responded on 11/07/2012
