have you tried Presonus Studio One 2.5 yet? If not, I recommend you do so; quite an interesting daw! You might like it better than Cubase
I used to fanatically keep up with all that and then one day I realised I was spending all my time flicking through manuals trying to work out how to automate some obscure parameter or other and not actually making any music.
What I learned was that they're all pretty much as good as each other and the real advantage comes from being able to seamlessly perform all of the tasks you need to accomplish with the minimum of thought. I have been using Cubase since version one and I'm now at a point where I can bend a piece of audio up into complex shapes with three keystrokes and a flick of the mouse.
I used to be that proficient with Logic but I left it behind when Apple bought Emagic. I bought it again recently and was shocked to discover how little it has progressed since 2003.
I'm sure Studio One is very good and one day, when I have some time to burn, I'll dive in and play with it.
You say you use the MS-20 for making that talking synth effect, can you be more specific? Are you using it as an effect? I have the software version but can't think of a way to do thisOtt responded on 01/08/2013 Next question
