was Billy The Kid Strikes Back the most fun song you've ever made?

Actually it probably is up there with the funnest.

It was me and my mate Daz ["Billy The Kid" on loads of 1990s hacker IRC channels] in my living room with endless pots of tea, loads of herb, Daz's five-string bass and all my cranky old synths.

I already had the drums and TB 303 line going and he came round to play some bass. Then we spent a few hours putting different synths in front of him and recording the first thing that came out.

There is a Doepfer A-100 modular, TB303, Korg Monopoly, Kurzweil K2000, Roland MKS-70, and a Marlin Synthetone.

Also sampled is a documentary about alligators and a man describing a sponge cake.

I think the last section after the darbuka breakdown sounds like 80's Van Halen and it makes me laugh every time I hear it.
